These rules must be followed. They are fairly simple and straightforward. However, I am currently revising them so if there is anything that seems out of place, please PM me. =)
.General/Out of character.
♦ Each season lasts 2-3 real months. I try to keep it close to the current RL season.
♦ Any out of character insults directed towards another player will result in severe consequences. Think before you type and treat everyone with respect. If you are upset about something going on with another member please PM a staff member.
♦ Do not spam the forums, the chat box or anything else related to the site.
♦ You are allowed to have as many characters as you like, so long as you keep them active. If you find you cannot keep a character active, please kill it off or put it up for adoption to keep all of your characters organized.
♦ It is recommended to start a character log to keep track of your characters. There is a board for these.
♦ Herd leaders should remain as active as possible so the lands can stay active. If a leader falls inactive their lands may be put up for claim.
♦ If you are gone for more than three days without notice in the Away board, you will be considered forfeit to any fight requests you receive. If you are gone more than a month, land ownership will be revoked and your staff position will be taken away if you have one.
.Advertising.
♦ Any member can advertise on another site. Our advertisment can be found in the Advertise/Affiliate board. You must contact me or another staff member and let us know what sites you advertised on so we don't double-post on the site.
♦ Only staff members can link back to other sites. Once a site has been linked back to, the staff member must lock the thread.
♦ Only the Co-Admin and Admin may affiliate on other sites unless stated otherwise by one of us.
.Images.
♦ You don't have to worry about the size of any images posted; There is a code set that will automatically resize them. Make sure avatars and signatures don't stretch the boards.
♦ All manipulations must follow the rules set by the stock providers and be credited.
♦ All images used must be your property or stock photos available for public use. You may not post or even link to images which you do not have permission to use.
♦ No critique shall be given on any picture unless it is asked for. When critique is asked for and someone does critique, make sure it is constructive criticism! Also, do not ask for critique if you are going to get upset about it.
.In character.
♦ Every IC post must be at least 100 words. When this site gets more developed, this count will be raised. Use the word counter to make sure your post is long enough.
♦ All IC posts should be in size one. You don't have to worry about this because there is a code that automatically puts it into size one. So, just don't make the size bigger unless you have trouble seeing it. Then, exceptions can be made.
♦ No Godmodeling (playing your character as though they are indestructible, have no flaws, etc.) All characters have some sort of flaw, just like they do in real life.
♦ No unrealistic eye colors, coat colors or magical attributes/powers unless bought from the store. This site is semi-realistic.
♦ No powerplaying (controlling another person's character). Exceptions to this rule can be made if you gained OOC permission to powerplay from the other player first.
♦ Breeding is allowed to be RPed out, but nothing very graphic. If the breeding is RPed, please place a warning in the thread's title and post it in the breeding grounds. If the characters have a foal, post a seperate thread in the breeding grounds - filling out the form provided - and a staff member will post the character's stats. Twins will be picked at random unless bought at the store. Please be responsible about this, and don't make any extreme content. Mares can only breed once each breeding season.
♦ You may own three normal lands of any alliance and two canon lands. Canon characters are King/Queen, Khalidan, and Mahalia.
♦ Don't butt in to an established topic or private topic without asking (this is normally seen as around 4 posts for an open thread and always for a private thread). If you really think your character should be involved send a PM to the thread creator, it's a simple and polite thing to do.
♦ A character cannot take another and force them to join their herd without out of character consent. Likewise one cannot be forced to stay with a herd if they are unhappy there. (Exceptions to this rule can be taken in the event of out of character permission. Example - A player agrees to their characters becoming a prisoner or a certain faction.)
♦ Leads should keep an out of character herd count in their main board, which can be stickied by a staff member. This count should detail the positions of all herd members and be updated every time someone joins.
♦ Each herd leader is granted to two sub boards at the start. Sub boards are the only place you can roleplay in the herd. The main board is for your stats, fight challenges, etc. For every five herd members, you receive another sub board (land ). Each sub board is part of a different place in the herd land, and the owner of the land makes the descriptions for these lands.
♦ Herd leaders should remain as active as possible so the lands can stay active. If a leader falls inactive their lands may be put up for claim.
♦ Mares and stallions of at least 3 years old may claim land. A claim must be in character, and at least 100 words. In order to make a claim, you have to follow this form:
Challenging;;
♦ Mares and stallions over the age of three can battle for land. Which means no foals can challenge.
♦ Post your challenges in the herd land of the stallion your challenging.
♦ Each character can only be challenged once every two real life weeks. No picking on a wounded character who just fought, because they might still have some wounds/scars.
♦ You can only be in one challenge at a time.
♦ If you win a challenge for a land you get the land, not the equines living in it. The horses in the land can choose to merge with your herd if they like or leave on their own.
♦ If you wish to battle for another character's mate or horse in their herd, the the horse involved must first agree to being fought over out of character. (Good job! Finish reading the rules and then use this password in the creation board: paradise)
♦ Fights will be judged according to attack strategy, post quality, mental/physical health of the characters fighting, and a dice roll at the end. There will also be extra points received as following; +8 if you are a king/queen, +6 if you are a leader, +4 if you are an heir, and +2 if you live in a herd.
♦ Two staff members are required to judge a fight – one for each character. They will give each player a score out of 50 using the following form:
♦ There is a 3 day minimum response time for all characters involved in a battle. After those three days, if you have not responded, you forfeit by default. However, if a player is away, they are not allowed to recieve any battle posts until they return.
♦ To make it easier for the judges, no one except those battling will be allowed to post during the battle. However, you may post afterwards once the judges have posted the results.
Thanks for joining us!
